Campus Innovations Group LLC (CIG) is a start-up company. We were started under the premise that a team comprised of professionals who have significant experience working within higher education and the public and private sector could best create alternative operational and financing methodologies relevant to higher education. CIG’s mission is to provide higher education with a strategic thought partner and capital provider that works in a team environment with colleges and universities to identify and assess a range of options and opportunities. We bring a fresh perspective to the several challenges currently impacting the industry. We are also able to draw upon our team members’ many years of experience in other fields who have analyzed, addressed and solved issues similar to what higher education is facing today. We don’t come with a single product to sell. We have a team in place that can examine traditional bond financing options and compare them to a variety of strategic opportunities for providing capital, new revenue streams and cost savings. Our firm experience consists of the individual experiences of our members and advisers as well as engagement, as a team, with initial efforts at various higher education institutions.
Providing Capital to Educational Institutions
As educational institutions endeavor to remain relevant and highly competitive, many face challenges as they strive to update infrastructure and facilities, attract and retain top talent, and maintain reasonable tuition rates. To address these and other challenges, CIG assists private colleges and public universities to effectively unlock the embedded value tied up in non-core campus assets through operational efficiencies and deployment of capital combined with the assessment of facility management and development. Capital is provided by monetizing non-core facility infrastructure and real estate assets such as student housing, conference centers, hospitality, and innovation centers, as well as repurposing existing facilities, and looking at new campus edge development opportunities.

Comprised largely of senior higher education professionals, real estate and capital markets experts, and non-profit executives, CIG works closely with school leadership as a strategic thought partner and capital provider enabling the fulfillment and execution of the institution’s strategic plan, campus master plan, accreditation recommendations, and external relations plan while strengthening their financial position in anticipation of future development needs.
Geographical Focus
Campus Innovations Group is building a national investment platform. We do not focus our efforts on colleges and universities in specific areas of the country, but rather seek to work through our long standing relationships with school leadership looking for new innovative funding approaches to improve liquidity and gain operating efficiencies.
